The Red Cracked Leather Beanie was an experiment in turning one of my signature materials into an everyday winter accessory, this time in a red colorway.
My Cracked Leather is surprisingly flexible and stretchy, which makes it particularly well suited to the shape and movement of a beanie.
To make the piece comfortable against the head, I added a soft jersey fabric lining on the inside, combining the distinctive red cracked surface on the outside with a comfortable feel when worn.
I wanted to show how the same material I use in my garments can take on a completely different character in a simple accessory.
